About the Client

Silverleaf Institute of Technology – a small, up-and-coming university in Eastern Europe, focusing on cutting-edge technology and interdisciplinary research. With around 8,000 students from over 30 countries, the university offers innovative programs in engineering, computer science, and digital arts. Known for its international collaborations, Silverleaf is rapidly growing in reputation within academic circles.

Problem

To meet the demands of modern times and the expectations of both students and staff, the university needed to implement the concept of a "campus in your pocket." This required the development of a suite of mobile applications (personal accounts) for all participants in the educational and research processes.
Goals
  • To create a unified, user-friendly communication and information channel for all participants in the educational and research processes, using a centralized university data storage system.
  • To publish the application in Google Play, AppStore, and Huawei Store.
  • To roll out the system in a pilot phase, installing the necessary scripts and/or applications on the university's computing platform and making the mobile app available in major app stores.

»
Tasks
  • 1
Develop a mobile application that serves as a single point of entry and a central hub for interaction with the university's multifunctional student center (electronic document management).
  • 2
Automate the process of paying tuition fees, securing housing, enrolling in courses, and displaying current contractual obligations.
  • 3
Design an application for professors with a navigation menu to access class schedules, student profiles, grading, academic records, performance tracking, and exam records.
  • 4
Create an application for administrators that allows them to efficiently manage all oversight processes related to professors and students in real-time, using data-driven tools.

We conducted a thorough analysis of existing business processes that required automation. Through interviews with key university stakeholders, several "bottlenecks" were identified.
Сareful consideration of the data
(including analysis of the official university website and relevant documentation (orders, university policies)
We designed and proposed three sets of design mockups for the mobile app screens, offering the client multiple options to choose from.
After design concept was approved
Our developers began creating services for students, professors, and administrators.
